Aprilaire Steam Humidifiers - Light Commercial Applications:

Many businesses have valuable inventories and specific processes that require protection. Insufficient humidity can cause significant issues. A steam humidifier will provide the capacity and precise humidity need to protect your inventories, processes and people!

The Model 1150 and 1160 steam humidifiers are designed for light commercial applications.

Aprilaire Model 1150 supplies 12 pounds of steam per hour and features an on-off control.

Aprilaire Model 1160 supplies 24 pounds of steam per hour and features a modulating output that regulates the operation of the humidifier based on the humidity needs of the building.

Aprilaire Model 1180 supplies 48 pounds of steam per hour and features the modulating output.

In addition to the higher capacity, the modulating control of the 1160 and 1180 allows for more flexibility in controlling the indoor relative humidity.

An Aprilaire Steam Humidifier is a self-contained device that takes tap water and boils it, using electric immersion heaters, to create steam. The steam flows through a steam hose and is injected into a moving air stream by way of a distribution tube. The steam flows out of the distribution tube and into the duct work through a series of small "tubelets" which create an even, drip-free transfer of steam into the moving air stream.

Steam humidifiers should not be connected to deionized water (DI) or reverse osmosis (RO) systems. Compatible with standard tap or softened water.

Yearly cleaning of the steam chamber, drain piping, and water level probe is all that is typically required for maintenance.
