There are many things you can do to "GREEN" your HVAC system. We can retrofit your existing heating and cooling system.

Upgrade to a high efficiency furnace, boiler
or air conditioning system

The more efficient the system, the less fuel you will use...resulting in lower bills! Look for EnergyStar qualified heating and cooling products...save both energy and money!

Install programmable thermostats

A properly programmed thermostat can save you up to 30% on your utility bills if used properly. Be sure to set the temperature low at night or while no one is home.

System sizing

Make sure your heating and air conditioning system is sized appropriately for your home. Have a load calculation done. Proper sized equipment will result in less energy consumption and lower fuel bills.

Duct sizing

Be sure the HVAC ductwork in your home is sized appropriately for maximum performance.

Duct sealing & insulating

Have all duct work sealed with a low VOC mastic sealant. Leaky ductwork loses pressure and wastes conditioned air

Return Air

Be sure your HVAC system has adequate return air to keep your home balanced. Negative pressure can draw carbon monoxide from gas appliances in homes with inadequate returns.

Whole house fans

Install a whole house fan to circulate the air and reduce the need for air conditioning by sucking hot air out quickly...this is great for night time cooling. Look for a whole house fan with more than one setting and one that is EnergyStar qualified.

An HRV recovers heat from exhausted indoor air and transfers it to the incoming fresh air stream.

Install a tankless water heater

A tankless water heater only heats water when it is needed which can save you up to 50% in energy costs per year. Set water temp to 120 degrees. Insulate the pipes coming out of the water heater.
